How to Use a Regular Toilet in a Camper

Some RVs get retrofitted with regular toilets. Put simply, these toilets are used the same as they would be even if they weren't in a room going 75mph down the highway. So when nature calls and your spouse is barreling down the road at the wheel of the RV, grab a magazine and settle in for a little quality time in your RV's fancy regular toilet. Be sure, however, to check on the seat belt laws for your state prior to settling down. You may need to strap in to stay legal.

Instructions

    • 1

Enter the bathroom with the magazine or newspaper and your cup of coffee. Keep the pen or pencil in your robe pocket.

    • 2

Visually check that the lid was not left up. If up, place the lid into the down position.

    • 3

      Drop pants.

    • 4

Settle onto the bowl and open the newspaper or magazine. Set the coffee in a secure location near the sink, but within easy reach of the bowl.

    • 5

      Make stool.

    • 6

Sit on the bowl for a good 15 minutes reading the paper, sipping your coffee and enjoying the quiet solitude the bathroom brings. Work on the paper's crossword if you're feeling especially erudite.

    • 7

Wipe the bottom area of your body. Flush the toilet. Close the lid.
