Locate the water tank fill cup on the back of the camper if your camper is equipped with a sink on the inside. Put 1/2 tsp. of bleach in the tank and fill it full of water. Let the water sit in the tank for five minutes. Look under the tank fill cup for the drain valve. Open the valve and drain the water. Leave the valve open and fill the tank with water. Let the water drain out. The water flushes out of the drain, cleaning the tank thoroughly. Close the drain valve and fill the tank with water for your trip.
Set up your pop-up camper on the flattest spot on your campsite. Place a jack under each corner of the bottom of the pop-up frame. Some pop-up campers have built-in fold down leveling jacks. If yours has built-in jacks, use them. Place a level on top of the camper's lid. Twist the jacks up or down as needed until the pop-up camper is level.
Open up the pop-up camper's lid by releasing the latches holding the lid down. On camper models that just pop up by tension spring, pull one side up at a time until the camper's top is all the way up. If your camper model is a crank up camper top, use the crank up handle located at the bumper end of the camper and turn the handle until the top is fully up.
Unzip the canopy from the storage compartment bag attached to the top edge of the camper's top on the door side of the camper. Roll out the canopy and fold out the attached support poles. Next, anchor each pole to the ground with stakes using tie-down ropes.
Set down the stoop by pulling it down from under the door. Next, attach the door and tuck the tent material edges into the slot around the door's frame.
If your camper has a stove, set it up by either folding out or attaching the stove on the outside of the camper following the manufacturer's instructions. Each camper's stove is slightly different, so attach the quick connect gas line according to manufacturer's instructions. Turn on the gas valve at the hitch end of the camper and the stove is ready for use.
Pull out the bed wings on each end of the camper. Attach a support pole under each bed frame on the bottom outside the camper. Go inside the camper and press into place the U-shaped rod that holds the tent materials off the bed area. Locate the power cord outlet compartment on the back side of the camper near the bumper. Pull the power cord out and plug it into the campsite's power supply box.
Connect the blue sewer flex line to the sewer connector on the camper if your camper is equipped with a bathroom. The sewer connector is usually located on the side where the bathroom is located or near the bumper end on the camper. Connect the potable water hose to the camper's water inlet and connect the other end of the hose to a spigot.
Remove the middle cushions on the table bed. Fold up the tabletop and hook the back edge to the wall hook socket. This gives you a table with two bench seats. When it's time for bed, unhook the tabletop and fold it back down onto the edges of the seats. Put the pad on top and the bed is ready.
Pack the camper up. Take down the canopy and put it back into the zipper bag. Sweep out the interior of the camper. Put the tabletop down in the bed position and put the cushions back in place. Clear off all surfaces inside the camper. Disconnect the gas line from the stove and put the stove inside the camper. Remove the door and fold up the stoop. Disconnect the water hose. Unplug the power cord and pack the cord back into the camper. Zip up plastic on all the windows. Fold down the U-shaped rod over each bed area. Remove the outside support rods for each of the bed wings. Push the bed wings in and tuck in the tent materials. Now put down the camper top the opposite way the top went up. Remove or fold up the jacks.
