Sunday Trading in England: Legal Since 1994 (6-Hour Limit for Large Shops)

The Sunday Trading Act 1994 permitted large shops (over 280 m²) in England and Wales to open for up to 6 hours on Sundays. Most major retailers chose 10 am–4 pm. Small shops were unrestricted. Scotland has separate regulations.
