Where Is Anchorage, Alaska?

Anchorage is Alaska's largest city (pop. ~290,000), located in south-central Alaska on the Cook Inlet, an arm of the Gulf of Alaska. It sits at the base of the Chugach Mountains, 140 miles (225 km) north of the Kenai Peninsula and 240 miles (386 km) south of Denali National Park. Coordinates: 61.2181° N, 149.9003° W.
