What are the 5 states of mattr?

There are actually six known states of matter:

Solid: A state of matter in which the molecules are tightly packed together and do not move freely. Solids have a definite shape and volume.

Liquid: A state of matter in which the molecules are loosely packed together and can move freely. Liquids have a definite volume but no definite shape.

Gas: A state of matter in which the molecules are spread far apart and move very quickly. Gases do not have a definite shape or volume.

Plasma: A state of matter that contains enough energy that the electrons have been separated from the atoms' nuclei. Plasma is often called the "fourth state of matter." Plasma is highly reactive and conducts electricity.

Bose-Einstein condensate: A state of matter that occurs when a gas is cooled to very low temperatures, causing the atoms' wave functions to overlap. This results in the atoms behaving as a single, coherent entity.

Quark-gluon plasma: A state of matter that is created when the temperature and pressure of a system of quarks and gluons is high enough to break apart the protons and neutrons that make up the system.
