The Gothic Theater holds 500 people seated, and 999 people if they are standing. It has two levels, with a wrap-around balcony for the upper level. Each level has its own full-service bar, and there is also a snack and soda bar for those who prefer to avoid liquor or are under the legal age. The Gothic mainly features musical guests, but it also can serve its historic purpose as a movie theater with a screen that is 16 feet by 16 feet in size. The Gothic Theater is available for private venues.
There are plenty of restaurants within a few blocks of the Gothic -- walking distance for most people. Approximately one block to the south on Broadway you can find Cafe 180 (appetitesunite.org) and Moe's Original Bar B Que (moesdenver.com). If you head south on Broadway and then turn right onto Floyd Avenue, there are two restaurants and a pool hall: Smashburger (smashburger.com), Abo's Pizza (no website; 101 West Floyd Avenue, Englewood; 303-781-9111) and Felt (feltbar.com), respectively. Moe's Original Bar B Que is a sponsor of the Gothic Theater, and may run hours and specials for theater events. It is also available for private parties, and may be booked in conjunction with a private party at the Gothic.
The nearest hotel strip to the Gothic is less than three miles from the Gothic. All of the major hotels are on South Colorado Boulevard. This includes a La Quinta Inn (lq.com), a Fairfield Inn (marriott.com), a Hampton Inn (hamptoninn.hilton.com), a Hilton (hilton.com) and a Holiday Inn (holidayinn.com) as well as many more. All of these hotels are within eight miles of driving at the farthest (the Holiday Inn). Several of the hotels offer a discount for guests of the Gothic.
The Gothic is just off of Interstate 25, and is about a 15-minute drive from uptown. It's about 30 minutes from the Denver International Airport (more like an hour in bad traffic), which means it might be a good place for someone who's on an overnight stopover to spend some time, if there's a show.
