Scott Air Force Base (AFB) is in Saint Claire County, Ill., near Belleville, Ill. Although there are many restaurants located in nearby Belleville, there are several on base for your convenience. Close to 2,700 people reside on base, including more than 600 families. For the people who live there, as well as the thousands of visitors to the AFB, there is Chinese food, American food, pizza, sandwiches and fast food available. Most of the restaurants are located on Seibert Road.
Fast food is available on the base at Burger King, which is located on 1649 West Birchard St. Stop in to eat or drive through to pick-up food. Domino's pizza restaurant is located at 829 Seibert Rd. You can pick-up the pizza, have it delivered on base or sit in the eatery to enjoy it. Domino's often has coupons and deals available such as two medium pizzas with two toppings for $6.
Scott AFB is home to a Subway Sandwiches, Windy City Gyros and Charley's Grilled Subs. Subway is at 833 Seibert Rd., Windy City is at 813 Seibert Rd. and Charley's is at 1981 Ward St. Subway touts better-for-you meals with fresh baked breads and healthy options. Windy City Gyros is a chain located in the Chicago area, offering Greek food. Charley's started out as one restaurant on a college campus, offering Philly Steak subs. Now, there are all kinds of grilled meat sandwiches on the menu.
There are two Chinese food restaurants on Scott AFB. Scott Chop Suey Restaurant is located at 817 Seibert Rd., and is family-owned. China Quick is farther down on Seibert Road, at No. 747; both offer traditional Chinese food including egg rolls and fried rice. Eat in or call ahead and take out.
American food is available at Heroes Restaurant at 813 Seibert Rd. It is in a strip mall with a couple of other eateries including Chicago's Restaurant. If you want a coffee or baked good, go to St. Louis Coffee Roasters 207 West Winters St. Scott Air Force Base also has a snack bar if you are looking for a light meal.
