Despite several attempts to unite in the 1950s and 1960s, East and West Dundee remain separate villages, each with its own style. East Dundee is the smaller of the two, with more local shops, and the home to most of the breakfast options in the Dundee area. West Dundee has more chain restaurants for lunch and dinner, though it does contain the only bed and breakfast in the area.
Located near the Springhill Mall, this breakfast hot spot has the atmosphere of a cozy house from another era. Many of the meals are egg-themed, with egg dishes from different parts of the country. For example, Benedict's from Milwaukee features eggs and bratwurst. A hidden dinner spot located off Route 72, the Manor Restaurant & Pancake House serves breakfast all day long. Some of the locals call the Manor's pancakes the best in the area. The service is friendly, the food is affordable and the omelets are recommended.

One of the only breakfast options in West Dundee, this bed and breakfast allows you to have a home away from home in one of its four suites and a home-cooked breakfast in the morning. While not traditionally a restaurant, the patrons have raved about the comfortable accommodations and the exceptionally cooked morning meal. For a Sunday breakfast or brunch, The Milk Pail is a fancy choice for your morning. While The Milk Pail is mostly known as a wedding rental hall, every Sunday morning there is a breakfast buffet replete with delicacies such as pecan waffles and fresh fruit and vegetables. There is a live orchestra playing soothing music as well. The Milk Pail is decidedly less casual than the other breakfast choices if you want to test out that Sunday suit of yours.
