Lyle is a small town on the north banks of the Columbia River in Washington. With a population of only 559 according to the 2000 census, the town does not have its own elementary schools, and shares middle and high schools with neighboring communities. A mere 70 miles east of Portland, Oregon, the town, with its view of the Columbia River Gorge, can be a quaint place to spend the night. However, the small town limits your accommodation options.
