Restaurants on Parris Island, South Carolina

Parris Island is a census-designated place in the town of Port Royal in South Carolina and the home of a Marine Corps training facility. The waterways of Port Royal, and annual events, such as the Soft Shell Crab Festival, make the town popular with tourists. The area is also home to several dining establishments, including some at the Parris Island training facility.

  1. Sand Trap Grill & Cafe

    • Sand Trap Grill and Cafe is a breakfast and lunch spot at Legends Golf Course on Parris Island. Breakfast items include pancakes and fried egg sandwiches. The lunch menu consists of hamburgers, club sandwiches, fish sandwiches and barbecue pulled pork.

    Traditions Restaurant

    • Traditions Restaurant is a casual establishment with an all-inclusive buffet and sandwiches, including Philly cheese steaks and grilled chicken. Other options include Caesar salads and Cobb salads. The restaurant can also accommodate special or private parties, including fine-dining events, and has a catering service as well. The restaurant is only open to permanent military personnel on Thursdays.

    • Back Yard Burgers is a bar and grill across from the Parris Island bowling center. It serves traditional pub fare, such as burgers and fries, and a variety of finger foods, including hot pepper poppers and onion rings, in a casual atmosphere. It is typically open on weekdays only, but has extended hours during graduation periods at the military base. The restaurant is known for its "white buffalo wings," which are available in 8- to-100 piece servings, as well as for offering unlimited refills on drinks.
