Acadia National Park in Maine features thick woodlands and 28 named mountains that range in size from 1,530 feet 284 feet. Many of these mountains feature hiking trails and great viewpoints for the surrounding area. While many of the smaller mountains such as Youngs Mountain, Acadia Mountain and Flying Mountain fail to reach 800 feet, the top 10 tallest mountains of the park each rise at least 900 feet into the sky.
Cadillac Mountain, the largest mountain on the Eastern coast of the United States, sits 1,530 feet high. The mountain, formerly known as Green Mountain, features a three-mile road to the top as well as a hiking trail at the top that stretches 1/3 of a mile, a four-mile hiking trail on its north ridge and a seven-mile hiking trail on its southern ridge.
Sargent Mountain is the second largest mountain in Acadia National Park at 1,373 feet. The mountain offers a five-mile hiking trail considered strenuous by the National Park Service.
Originally known as Flying Squadron Mountain, Dorr Mountain ranks third in size among the many mountains of Acadia National Park with a height of 1,270 feet. The mountain also features a three-mile hiking trail.
Pemetic Mountain, ranking fourth in size at Acadia National Park, sits just behind Dorr Mountain at 1,248 feet.
Penobscot Mountain reaches 1,194 feet into the sky. The mountain used to be named Jordan Mountain.
Bernard Mountain sits at 1,071 feet to rank sixth in Acadia National Park. The mountain holds no hiking trails.

Mansell rounds out the 10 tallest mountains in Acadia National Park at 949 feet. The mountain features a two-mile hiking trail, which is difficult, according the park service, with rocky stairs.
