The United States Mint in Washington D.C. currently does not offer public tours because it is the mint's headquarters and not a production facility. Instead, the Washington D.C. site offers a retail sales outlet in the lobby that is open to the public. If you wish to tour a production facility, the United States Mint provides free public tours at both its Philadelphia and Denver locations.
