Schmidt's restaurant offers authentic German food over breakfast and lunch in a family atmosphere. Harry and Charlotte Schmidt began making German delicacies in Colorado in 1982, starting off with their krautburger (beef, onion, cabbage and spices in a bun). Having moved locations several times, Schmidt's now has an extensive food selection that includes cakes, pies, sandwiches, fresh breads and pastries. The present Loveland location has space for the bakery, tables and chairs for sit down meals and musical entertainment.

Located about 30 minutes driving from Loveland, Andrea’s has been serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner since 1977. Open Thursdays through Mondays, it has happy hour from four to six p.m. On occasion, Andrea’s has live entertainment music, which includes polka music, accordion, keyboard artists, traditional vocals, and acoustic guitar. Specialties include all kinds of schnitzels, a Munich-style roast duck, kassler rippchen, a black forest cheese spatzle and a vegetable strudel.
