Disneyland is a classic family weekend getaway. The park features some of your favorite old rides and fun new rides, such as Finding Nemo's Under the Sea Adventure. The park is adjacent to The California Adventure theme park. Buy a park hopper pass so that you and your kids can have a blast going back and forth between the two parks. The park also features live shows and plenty of entertainment including a fireworks show after dark.

Take your kids to Legoland for the weekend. Legoland is a theme park that caters to kids of all ages. The park features a giant water slide that leads to a huge pool. Giant animals, dinosaurs and other characters made of Legos are throughout the park. Enjoy the aquarium or the fireworks show after the sun goes down. Other special events and shows are held on various holidays throughout the year.
