Located in southern Waterloo, Kitchen Wok offers several traditional Chinese dishes, including moo shu pork, General Tso's chicken and Cantonese chow mein. House specials include beef with black bean sauce and double-sauteed sliced pork. Kitchen Wok also serves three varieties of Chinese style curry dishes paired with white rice. Options include chicken, beef, roast port and shrimp, or the house special curry, which includes all four. Complimentary wontons and chicken wings are offered with pick-up orders exceeding $25, as of August 2010.

Waterloo's Crystal Palace serves Chinese food from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, as of August, 2010. Appetizers include breaded shrimps, Ja Do chicken wings and pan fried dumplings. The restaurant offers a half dozen family meal packages available for both dine-in and take-out customers that can feed up to six people. Each includes egg rolls, chicken chow mein and a choice of fried rice. Over a dozen vegetarian options are available at Crystal Palace, including sweet corn with bean curd, mixed vegetable stir fry and bamboo fungus with Chinese greens.

King Wok Chinese restaurant is located less than 10 minutes south of Waterloo in neighboring Kitchener. Founded in 1997, the restaurant offers lunch and family dinner specials daily. Among the offerings are over a half dozen soups, including corn soup with chicken, Chinese consomme with rice, and chicken mushroom soup. Seafood selections include shrimp with General Tso sauce, squid with snow peas, and breaded shrimp with sliced lemon. Several honey garlic entrees are also available, including spare ribs, chicken wings and chicken balls.
