Nashville is well known for its abundance of music and entertainment opportunities that include the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry (see Resources). The Tennessee Performing Arts Center offers tourists a variety of shows that include the Nashville Ballet and Opera. Nashville is also home to the Country Music Association’s Music Festival, which attracts thousands of country music fans to the city each year.

The best time to travel to Nashville is between the months of May and September. Although the weather can be extremely hot during this time, a majority of music festivals and other celebrations are being held within the city.
The weather during the city’s summer months tends to stay at an average 90 degrees Fahrenheit with 80 percent humidity. October and November temperatures can be at a steady 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and the winter brings small amounts of snow.
