    The Park Steakhouse

    • The Park Steakhouse is in Park Ridge, a community just minutes from the New York-New Jersey border. The restaurant's food and service held a "very good to excellent" rating from Zagat, and its decor was rated "good to very good" by Zagat as of May 2010. To start the meal, the restaurant features a raw bar with oysters and clams on the half-shell, crabmeat cocktail, poached shrimp, tuna and salmon tartar, and chilled lobster tail. The restaurant's featured steak is a 12-oz. filet mignon, which can be accompanied by house-made bearnaise, bordelaise or blue cheese fondue sauces. For dessert, try the chocolate sampler: milk chocolate creme brulee, amaretto dark chocolate milk and bittersweet chocolate pudding.     Roots Steakhouse

    • Roots Steakhouse opened at its location in Summit, New Jersey, in 2006. The restaurant's Zagat ratings were "very good to excellent" for food, decor and service as of May 2010. The menu begins with a selection of more than 10 appetizers, such as the lump crab cakes, the shrimp scampi, spicy barbecued ribs and clams casino. Among the steaks featured on the menu is the 48-oz.
