Veteran’s Day is in November, on November 11. Each year in November, not necessarily on Veteran’s Day, a special tribute takes place honoring Ohio’s veterans. The cannons on the Statehouse lawn, on the West Plaza, are fired. This is the signal to begin the annual Veteran’s Day Parade, which winds its way through downtown Columbus.

The tour begins at the Marina and continues around the state park grounds. The marina itself is converted into a holiday gift shop for the event. The exhibit runs from mid-November through January 1. The Marina, in Lewis Center, is just a short drive north of the Columbus city limits.
