Ohio Wesleyan University is home to "The Perkins Observatory." The observatory is one of the oldest in the nation, and houses the "Perkins Telescope," once one of the world's largest telescopes. Through a large mirrored telescope, your eyes can view the earth's atmosphere and light up the sky. The exhibit area teaches facts about the universe and offers pictures of our solar system. Children can play in the large kids space with books and computer games. A gift shop with educational toys, telescopes, and books are available for purchase.

The Olentangy Indian Caverns offer visitors a look at Native American heritage. This cavern was formed millions of years ago, and was used by the Wyandotte. Artifacts found inside the cavern are on display. There are guided tours with 40 minutes of exciting stories. If you prefer to explore the cavern without a guide, you can listen to audio stations located in five different areas for more information on the exhibits. Additional activities are outside. There is an 18-hole miniature golf course. A playground, climbing wall, and horseshoe game make this a fun activity for the entire family.
