St. Anne's Church served its congregation in Brentwood, New York for many generations. It has become an integral part of the local Roman Catholic community.
The first Mass of the newly formed St. Anne's congregation was held at the Quanahassett Hotel.
As the congregation increased in size, the need for a building became apparent. The church was dedicated on July 3, 1895.
The religious educational needs of the growing congregation created the need for a school. The new school opened for pupils on September 10, 1923. The school also included a chapel below the auditorium, adding room for the congregation during Mass.
The church congregation continued to grow, creating the need for a new building. On December 24, 1969 a new church was opened.
A marble statue of St. Anne with the child Mary is included in the shrine on the church property. The woods nearby also include depictions of the Stations of the Cross.
