As ethnic offerings become more and more prevalent in the United States so do newer, more obscure ethnic offerings that were unavailable previously. One such offering is the Brazilian-style steakhouse. Its characteristics emerged in the early 1800s, when European immigrants came to Brazil and quickly became adept at raising and herding cattle. They cooked large portions of meat over fire in a style referred to as churrasco. The different meats cooked would then be served to each person.
Rodizio Steakhouse, located in North Providence, fuses Italian flavors and spices with the churrasco style cooking of Brazil. Rodizio cooks beef, lamb, pork and chicken in different styles and then passes them around to diners. Rodizio employees walk around the restaurant continuously offering more of whatever meat you fancy and will not stop offering until the guest is full.
Rodizio brings the cuts of meat to diners on skewers and offers their meals at one set price, all you can eat. Rodizio is also home to The Entourage Room, a lounge as well as private party rooms that can be rented out. Reservations are recommended.

Although it lacks the aesthetics of Rodizio, Casa Brazil, located in Eastern Providence, offers the same style of food in a buffet format. Instead of servers bringing you meats, you help yourself to a plentiful buffet that is reasonably priced.
Casa Brazil offers much of the same fare available at Rodizio, just on a smaller, less glitzy scale. In fact, The Providence Phoenix rated Casa Brazil rather well for its flavorful meats and overall quality. It also stated that the owners of Casa Brazil encourage guests to stay for a couple of hours and enjoy the restaurant, a rarity in the restaurant industry.

Gauchos do Brazil, in Warwick, offers an all-you-can-eat buffet at a reasonable price. Diners go to the buffet to get their different meats and other foods. Gauchos prides itself on offering traditional, authentic churrasco-style food, cooking various cuts of beef, chicken, pork and turkey. It is open seven days a week and reservations are accepted.
