"Zagat" rated them very highly, giving them accolades for "top website," "best consumer on-time estimates," "best value" and "best luggage policy." They have a 3-star rating from Skytrax. This is not the highest rating of 5-stars, but it is higher than most domestic airlines and does constitute a satisfactory standard of service. On the AQR report, Southwest is noted to have the lowest number of customer complaints, and incidences of baggage mishandling have decreased.
