Take a connecting flight through Houston, Cleveland or Newark, N.J. They are all Continental hubs, and booking your travel through these cities could result in a lower fare.

Join the President's Club and OnePass, Continental's frequent-flyer program. The President's Club offers a comfortable lounge and OnePass allows you to earn points towards upgrades or free travel.
Avoid long lines at the airport by checking your luggage with a skycap. Tipping these employees is customary.
Check-in online beginning 24 hours before your flight for extra peace of mind. This service is available for most, but not all, of the cities Continental serves.
Reserve and purchase your ticket online. Visit the Continental site and click on the "Reservations" link. You can search available flights and compare prices, and then book your ticket. Write down your confirmation number as you will need it to check in.
