Book your travel through an agent, preferably one who speaks German. The airline's Web site is presented in German with no option for translation. Expect flight prices to be moderately expensive.
Carry one piece of luggage on board with you when you travel. It cannot weigh more than 10 kg or 22 lb, or be any larger than 56 by 45 by 25 centimeters.
Check on the permitted size of stored luggage. Also check whether special items such as bicycles, surfboards and golf clubs are allowed. Some airlines may not carry larger items because of limited aircraft space.
Visit the Web site for each airport you'll be passing through and check the latest security updates. This will ensure you get through security with as few problems as possible.
