Kosova Airlines was formed in 2003 by the United Nations Mission in Kosovo in partnership with the government of Kosovo. The airlines offers regular flights from Prishtina, Kosovo, to major cities in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland. Kosova Airlines is based in Prishtina and operates from Prishtina International Airport.
Reserve your ticket online at the company's Web site (see Resources below), at any Kosova Airlines agent office or over the phone at 011 (+381) 38 249 185 via the company's service center.
Pay for your ticket with a credit card, debit card or cash. Be aware that you can pay with a debit card only if you have a bank account in Kosovo, Switzerland or Germany. Passengers planning to make payment by debit card may make reservations up to one week before departure.
Choose your point of departure. Kosova Airlines flies to destinations in Europe from Prishtina, Kosovo and Skopje, Macedonia.
Choose a destination in Germany, Sweden or Switzerland. Kosova Airlines flies to the following cities: Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart, Gottenburg, Geneva and Zurich.
Know the approved weight for checked luggage. The airline restricts passengers to a maximum luggage weight of 20 kg (44 lb).
Be aware that passengers are allowed only one carry-on weighing no more than 5 kg (11 lb) and measuring 55 x 40 x 20 cm (21.7 x 15.7 x 7.9 in.).
Note that Kosova Airlines expects passengers to confirm flights at least 48 hours before departure. Passengers who miss a flight and have failed to confirm cannot use their ticket on a later flight.
Be prepared to check in at least 30 minutes before your flight. Passengers who check in later will be denied boarding.
Use a laptop without a CD-ROM drive while on board. Kosova Airlines does not allow the use of laptops with CD-ROM drives on the plane.
Be aware that smoking is prohibited on Kosova Airlines.
Check for discounts. Kosova Airlines offers special discounts to passengers who are handicapped, students, families, groups and members of the Kosova Police Services or the Kosova Protection Corps. The company also offers discounts to members of the following groups: KFOR, UNMIK, OSCE, BE and NGO.
Save your ticket stubs. Passengers who have flown with Kosova Airlines at least four times within a year are eligible for a 10 percent discount on their next flight. Passengers requesting this discount must be able to show proof of travel.
