A private company established in 1998, Yeti Airlines offers daily domestic flights in Nepal. While it serves many popular tourist locations, the carrier's nine aircraft fleet also travels to remote places other airlines don't cover.
Request reservations online. Yeti Airlines does not currently offer a booking option on their Web site (see the Resources section below). Instead, you must fill out their "Book a Flight" form online and submit it with your flight information.
Review fares on the Yeti Airlines Web site, which lists prices in Nepali rupees and U.S. dollars. Prices for this regional carrier are moderate.
Check flight schedules. Yeti Airlines offers daily service to most popular domestic destinations and provides less-frequent service to remote locations.
E-mail the corporate office in Kathmandu with your reservation questions at [email protected].
Visit ticketing agents in Kathmandu branches. Yeti Airlines has offices at the Kathmandu airport and in the Thamel and Lazimpat areas of Kathmandu.
Call sales representatives for booking information to other destinations in Nepal. You can buy tickets in seven of the locations that Yeti Airlines flies to, and the company Web site conveniently lists the cell phone numbers of their sales agents.
Book adventure travel with an experienced travel agency that can negotiate the fees of travel and accommodations.
Fly to remote locations near the Himalaya Mountains. Yeti Airlines flies to the mountain cities of Lukla and Phaplu, which are starting points for treks into the Himalayas.
See Mount Everest without worrying about oxygen levels. Departing from Kathmandu, Yeti Airlines offers a 1-hour sightseeing trip around Mount Everest at 25,000 feet.
Book Yeti Airlines flights for rafting and boating trips. Visit Pokhara and go rafting on the Seti Gandaki River, or travel to the western region of Nepal and kayak the Bheri River in Dolpa.
