Airport Parking in Detroit, Michigan

Each year more than 30 million people pass through Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, according to their website, making DTW one of the busiest airports in the country. DTW provides 19,000 parking spaces for those passengers, divided over two covered parking garages and one outdoor lot.
  1. McNamara Terminal Parking Garage

    • In 2002, DTW built the McNamara Terminal and parking structure. The garage has 11,000 parking spaces and is attached to the terminal by a covered walkway. A new entrance road off of I-94 was added at the time of construction to help with the flow of traffic. DTW offers 1-2-3 parking that allows users to park without a ticket, by simply swiping their credit card on the way in and the way out.

    Big Blue Deck Parking Garage

    • Connected to the North Terminal by an enclosed pedestrian walkway, the Big Blue Deck parking garage offers the 1-2-3 parking service as well as a free shuttle to the McNamara Terminal. There is an outdoor short-term parking lot for the North Terminal across from the Big Blue Deck structure.

    The Yellow Lot

    • Long-term surface parking is also available in the Yellow Lot. A free shuttle service is provided to both terminals from the Yellow Lot. You can call the DTW Parking Hotline for more information.
