Does the Nile River have locks?

The Nile River does not have any locks. Locks are used to raise or lower boats between different levels of water, and the Nile River does not have any significant changes in elevation. The river flows from its source in Burundi to its mouth in the Mediterranean Sea, and there are no major waterfalls or dams along its course.
