Juneau, Alaska, City Bus Tours

As the capitol of Alaska, Juneau offers both history, natural beauty and a lively downtown area. These are just some of the reasons Juneau is such a large tourist city. There are several ways to tour the city. An affordable way is by bus.
  1. Alaska Tours

    • Take this Juneau sightseeing tour to get a history lesson while viewing the majestic glaciers. This bus will stop at Auke Lake, University of Alaska, the Capitol Building and Mendenhall Glacier. The tour lasts about three hours. As of November 2010, the adult price for this tour is $45. The price per passengers 13 years old or younger is $22.

    Mighty Great Trips

    • Mighty Great Trips offer two different tours of Juneau, Alaska. The first one is entitled "Juneau's Best." You will see the Mendenhall Glacier, protected wetlands and downtown Juneau. The other tour will take you through downtown Juneau, to Mendenhall Glacier, past the mansion of the Governor and on a tour of the local salmon hatchery.

    Alaska Coach Tours

    • A trolley tour will be a shorter experience, but it is also less expensive. As of November 2010, a trolley tour ticket for an adult is $19. A child's ticket is $12 and the ride lasts just under an hour. This trolley tour is narrated by a tour guide and will take passengers to multiple historical sites. The tour ends in downtown Juneau where you can explore on foot.
