Charter Bus Vacations in Pennsylvania

The first thing that may come to mind when taking a vacation to Pennsylvania is a visit to Independence Hall in Philadelphia. Charter bus companies organize itineraries that allow you to see more of the sights and small towns throughout the state, rather then just being in the big cities such as Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
  1. Starr Tours

    • Organizing bus tours in the United States since 1947, Starr Tours is a family-owned company which offers charter bus tours for individuals and groups. The two-day Pennsylvania's Grand Canyon Tour travels to the Leonard Harrison State Park, Lewisburg and Williamsport. Activities during the tour include a cruise along the Susquehanna River on a paddlewheel riverboat, views of the canyon from inside a padded horse-drawn carriage and a stop on the east rim of the canyon for scenic views from the visitors center at the Leonard Harrison State Park. The carriage ride is approximately two hours and includes historical information on the Pine Creek Gorge area. The accommodation during the tour is the Holiday Inn in Williamsport. All meals are included in the tour price. Starr bus amenities include DVD players, reclining seats, a bathroom and CD players.

    Perkiomen Tours

    • Perkiomen Tours provides both private tours and group tours for between 47 and 52 guests. The company offers a motorcoach trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show, located in the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The 2011 theme, "Springtime in Paris," includes floral replications of a Parisian park next to the Seine River, flower sculptures in the Moulin Rouge area and boarders of lilacs and roses. You'll have approximately five hours to tour the flower show on your own. Perkiomen Tours travels to the flower show each day it's open; the show lasts for one week. Motorcoach amenities include DVD players, reading lights, a bathroom and card tables upon request.

    Hagey Coach and Tours

    • Operating since 1936, Hagey Coach and Tours offers a two-day Motorcoach trip to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on the Pennsylvania's Endless Mountains tour. This tour departs from Franconia and travels to Mansfield where you'll have a welcome reception at your hotel for the night, the Mansfield Comfort Inn. On the first day of the tour, you'll climb aboard a railway train and explore the Tioga Central Railroad. Tour highlights include a wagon ride along the Pine Creek Gorge along the upper rim of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. You'll also view the canyon from the visitors center at the Leonard Harrison State Park. All meals are included in the tour price. The motorcoach bus accommodates up to 54 passengers.
