Steve McGarrett's Vehicles in Hawaii Five-0: Not Just Cars

McGarrett Drives Whatever the Mission Demands

Contrary to the impression that Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) only drives cars, the series showcases a versatile fleet:

• Cars: Chevrolet Camaro (personal), Ford Mustang, Dodge Charger (police interceptors).
• Trucks/SUVs: Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150 Raptor, Toyota Land Cruiser—for terrain and gear.
• Boats: Rigid-hull inflatables, offshore center-consoles—for coastal pursuits and inter-island hops.
• Helicopters: Bell 407, Airbus H135—rapid response, search & rescue, tactical insertions.
• Motorcycles: Occasional undercover or pursuit use.

Why the Variety?

Hawaii Five-0 is a state police task force operating across islands, oceans, mountains, and jungles. The show's producers deliberately mix vehicles to reflect operational realism and visual excitement.

So, McGarrett doesn't "always drive a car"—he pilots whatever gets the job done.
