To qualify for VIP service on a Norwegian Cruise, passengers must become gold or platinum members. Gold members have completed 9 to 13 cruises onboard Norwegian, while Platinum members have been on 14 or more cruises, according to the Norwegian Cruise Line website.
Passengers who book a suite or villa on any Norwegian cruise ship are also entitled to VIP services. As Norwegian Cruise Line states, qualifying staterooms include Owner's, Penthouse and Romance suites as well as Garden and Courtyard villas.
Norwegian Cruise Lines offers similar VIP services for both gold and platinum members and villa and suite passengers. Services include a welcome basket, premier restaurant reservations, priority check-in and disembarkation, and the Captain's cocktail party. Additionally, villa and suite passengers receive butler and concierge services, full in-room meals, and flower and fruit baskets every day.
