Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) 7-Day Hawaiian cruise begins and ends in Honolulu. As of August 2010, NCL offers seven-day cruises throughout 2010, 2011 and winter and spring departure dates in 2012, all aboard the Pride of America cruise liner. Ports of call include Maui, Hilo, Kona and Kauai. At each port, guests can enjoy at least 10 to 11 hours of free time for sightseeing or enjoying shipboard activities and amenities. The ship remains at port for 34 hours in Maui and 30 hours in Kauai to allow for extended exploration.
While in port, guests can find a wide variety of attractions and activities to enjoy. Honolulu offers opportunities for volcano climbing on Diamond Head, relaxing on Waikiki Beach or exploring the National Cemetery of the Pacific. Maui attractions include golf courses, white sand beaches, the road to Hana and snorkeling over the Molokini Crater. While visiting Hilo, guests can enjoy the island's tropical flowers, explore the town's historic architecture or take a tour of the Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Kona welcomes visitors with a variety of outdoor activities, including kayaking, surfing and fishing. With an overnight stay in Kauai, guests can explore Waimea Canyon, wander through the Haena rain forests or hike the mountain ranges of Kokee.
Fares for the 7-day NCL Hawaiian cruise range from $999 for an inside room to $3449 for select suites, based on room double occupancy. Fares include accommodations, along with entertainment and meals at select restaurants aboard the ship. Guests can enjoy dining at on-board restaurants that are not included in the base fare price by paying a cover charge or fixed menu item prices, depending on the restaurant. The fare does not include certain items and services, including soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, spa services, select exercise programs, laundry services and shore activities and transportation, among others.
NCL's Pride of America can accommodate more than 2,000 passengers. Guests can enjoy dining at 14 on-board restaurants, or relax for a cocktail at nine lounges and bars. Restaurant menus include American, Italian and Asian cuisines.
