Uniworld River Cruises

Awarded by CruiseCritic.com as the 2009 Best River Cruise Line, Uniworld River Cruises has been offering a variety of river cruises in over 20 countries since the 1970s. It continues to better itself by adding more destinations that not only cater to the more mature clientele, but also provide a wider array of itineraries to attract families and younger travelers.
  1. European River Cruise

    • Since Uniworld River Cruises began its operation in the 1970s, it's been offering a comprehensive list of river cruises in some of the top tourist destinations in Europe. Each cruise provides travelers insight into the rich culture, history, art and architecture of Europe while enjoying a slow and steady pace on some of the most visited rivers. These rivers include the Danube River, the second longest river in Europe, and the Rhine River, which is regarded as one of the important rivers in Europe due to its history as a waterway.

The European Serenade is one of the cruises offered by Uniworld River Cruises in this part of the world. The cruise lasts for 14 days, and takes travelers through Vienna, Austria to Amsterdam in the Netherlands on three of the largest rivers in Europe--the Rhine River, the Maine River and the Danube. Included in the cruise package are 11 shore excursions, each hosted by English-speaking local guides; among the sites is Bamberg in Germany. Recognized as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site, Bamberg is visited by tourists for its Renaissance palaces and baroque houses.

    Egyptian River Cruise

    • The Greek scholar Herodotus once described Egypt as a land where "so many things of unspeakable greatness" are seen and experienced. Among the cruises offered in Egypt are the Jewels of Egypt, the Nile and the Lake Nasser cruise. This 12-day cruise takes travelers down the Nile River, which is considered the country's major economic highway, and on Lake Nasser--the largest artificial body of water in the world, which is a result of building the Aswan Dam in the 1960s. Day excursions are hosted by a professional Egyptologist, and include trips to the Great Pyramids and Sphinx in Giza, the Temple ruins in Luxor and Karnak, and Abu Simbel--a temple complex carved from rock and built during the reign of Ramses II.

    China River Cruise

    • Uniworld River Cruises' China cruise itineraries provide travelers a glimpse into this country's past and present while sailing on the Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia and the third longest river in the world.

One cruise offered by Uniworld River Cruises is the China, Tibet, and Yangtze cruise. It's a 15-day journey that takes travelers through much of the most-visited destinations in Mainland China, including the Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. After which, travelers visit the temples in Tibet. At night, guests are given the opportunity to experience themed dinners and entertainment such as a traditional Peking Duck Feast, Beijing Opera and a traditional Xi'an Welcome Ceremony.
