European Christmas Cruises

European Christmas cruises offer the best of Europe's value season from November through March. Popular activities for cruise travelers include the Christmas markets and Christmas Eve Mass in historic churches at cruise ports, as well as numerous holiday light displays (e.g., the nearly four miles of Christmas lights in Copenhagen).

Christmas markets are held around a European town's principal church to attract churchgoers on their way to and from services. Each town became known for specific products because local traders and merchants were permitted to sell products at the Christmas market. Christmas markets typically last about four weeks--beginning about the same time as the Advent season.
