How old do you have to be ride in the front seat Kansas?

According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, children under the age of 14 must ride in the back seat of a vehicle, unless the following exceptions apply:

- The vehicle has no back seat.

- The child is at least 4 feet 9 inches tall and can properly secure the seat belt.

- The child has a medical condition that prevents them from riding in the back seat.

If any of these exceptions apply, the child may ride in the front seat, but they must still wear a seat belt that is properly secured.
