Railways are also an important mode of transport in Namibia, with a total network length of approximately 2,600 km. The main railway lines run from Windhoek to the ports of Walvis Bay and Lüderitz, and to the borders with South Africa and Botswana.
Namibia has two major airports, Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek and Walvis Bay International Airport. These airports provide connections to major cities in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
In addition to these main modes of transport, Namibia also has a number of smaller airports and airstrips, as well as a network of buses and taxis that connect different parts of the country.
