Gain experience by participating in air races such as The Aerobatic European Championships or the Aerobatic World Championships, while competing in or demonstrating prowess in obstacle course flying. The Red Bull Air Race committee expects high achievements in both areas. If they deem you worthy, they will send you an invitation and application to join the Red Bull Air Race qualification camp.
Send in the application form to participate in the Red Bull Air Race qualification camp. You'll typically provide information such as your name, address, phone number, plane ID number and callsign.
Participate in the qualification camp and qualifier. From the Red Bull Air Race website: "Simply being a fast pilot is not enough -- [pilots] must also have the skill to navigate a complex obstacle course just metres above the ground." You will have to demonstrate your abilities to the Red Bull judges who will decide if you're worthy to participate in their air races.
Obtain your Red Bull Air Race Super Licence, should you qualify to compete in the actual Red Bull Air Races.
