How fast will parakeets lay eggs after first clutch?
Parakeets lay their eggs at intervals of 24-48 hours, so the entire process for just one clutch is 3-7 days. The clutch size is usually between 4-8 eggs, and the eggs hatch after about 18 days. After about a week after the eggs have hatched, the female will begin to lay eggs for her next clutch. The next clutch of eggs will be laid about 25 days after the first clutch of eggs hatched. The female parakeet will usually lay 2-3 clutches of eggs per year, but some females may lay up to 5 clutches of eggs per year.
