How to Buy a NYC Subway Ticket or MetroCard

1. Find a station and enter via turnstiles.
2. Purchase a MetroCard:
   • Vending machine: Cash or card; choose Single Ride, Unlimited, or Pay-Per-Ride.
   • Staffed booth: Cash, credit, or debit accepted.
3. Add value (if Pay-Per-Ride) at machine or booth.
4. Swipe at turnstile to enter platform.
5. Keep MetroCard for exit swipe.
