Removing Door Panels on a Lincoln LS: Step-by-Step

Tools Needed

• Trim removal/pry tool
• 10 mm socket & ratchet
• Phillips screwdriver (for some model years)

Procedure

1. Door handle bezel: Insert pry tool at the inside release lever; pop the bezel off.
2. Window switch panel: Pry up gently, disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Door pull covers: Two plastic pieces—pry upward to release clips.
4. Retaining bolts: Remove the 10 mm bolt behind the handle bezel and the one at the lower rear corner of the panel.
5. Release the panel: Starting at the bottom, pull outward to disengage the 10–12 plastic push-pins. Work your way up; the panel will hang on the top lip—lift straight up to clear the window seal.

Reassembly Tips

Inspect push-pins; replace any broken ones. Reconnect wiring before seating the panel. Press firmly around the perimeter to seat all clips.
