Does the flying Scotsman train still exist today for journeys to Scotland?

No. In 2009, the National Railway Museum acquired ownership of the Flying Scotsman to preserve it for the future. Its home today is at the Museum's Locomotion in Shildon. The locomotive no longer operates regular revenue-earning services, but it does occasionally steam as part of special events and charters.
