Invest in a multi-pass. RailEurope features a European East Pass as well as a Balkan Flexi Pass that allows for flexible travel to and from Macedonia, as well as several other neighboring countries of your choice.
Save some cash. If you are a student under the age of 25, you are likely to qualify for a Balkan Flexi Pass offered at the less expensive student rate.
Ride the train into town. Although Macedonia does not have its own rail system outside the country, RailEurope offers regular passage to and from Skopje and to and from Greece.
Understand your trip. Utilize the interactive map on the RailEurope Web site to see train routes between cities.
Find the ticket you want. Visit the International Train Planner Web site. See the Resources section below for a link. Enter your desired origin/destination cities and select the train you would like to take.
Avoid confusion. If you can't find the trip you want during the times you need, contact a RailEurope customer service representative via the online message system.
Know that depending on the type of ticket you select, prices can vary from reasonable to expensive. Save money on tickets for children and seniors over the age of 60.
