What objects are in the Vermeil Room White House?

* Sèvres porcelain vases. A pair of Sèvres porcelain vases, decorated with scenes of classical mythology, were presented to the White House in 1817 by King Louis XVIII of France. They are displayed on the mantel in the Vermeil Room.

* The Vermeil coffee service. This coffee service, made of gold-plated silver, was presented to the White House in 1882 by the Tiffany & Co. jewelry store. It is used for state dinners and other special occasions.

* Sevres porcelain.

* The Vermeil mirror. This mirror, made of gold-plated silver with an elaborately carved frame, was purchased by President and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson in 1914. It is hung on the wall above the mantel in the Vermeil Room.

The urn is decorated with scenes from the Hunt of Meleager and has two lion's-head handles. It is displayed on the mantel in the Vermeil Room.
