The Lighthouse is the only bed-and-breakfast accommodation in Bandon. This bed-and-breakfast is on the southern banks of the Coquille River, less than a mile from where the mouth of the river meets the Pacific Ocean. The Lighthouse offers five rooms, and all of them have private bathrooms. Two of the rooms, Gray Whale and Greenhouse, have private whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. Guests with children under 12 must notify the Lighthouse before their arrival. The bed-and-breakfast serves breakfast in the dining room, which offers a view of the Pacific Ocean.
Located in Langois, Oregon, the Floras Lake House Bed and Breakfast is on the northern shore of Floras Lake, less than 30 minutes south of Bandon. This accommodation is also within five minutes of the Pacific Coast. Floras Lake provides a buffet-style breakfast in the house's Great Room, which includes the living room and dining area. The house has a barbecue grill on the outdoor deck, but the only cookware in the house is a microwave in the kitchen. Four rooms are available at the house. The two largest rooms, North Room and South Room, have king-size beds and fireplaces. Only "well behaved" children 12 years or older may stay at Floras Lake.
The city of Bandon's location on the Coquille River and Pacific Ocean make it a natural fit for water-based activities. The Port of Bandon is on the southern shores of the Coquille River, less than five minutes from the Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast. This port has 95 slips for fishing and pontoon boats; a fish cleaning station is available at the port. The Port of Bandon's facilities are open year-round. A boardwalk area is adjacent to the Port of Bandon and features bait-and-tackle shops, seafood eateries, an amphitheater, picnicking area and deep-sea charter companies.
The Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast in Bandon and Floras Lake Bed and Breakfast in Langois are within 10 minutes of parks in their respective cities. Bandon boasts of two beachfront recreation areas, Bandon State Park and Bullard's Beach State Park. Both of these parks offer picnicking areas, hiking trails, sandbars and chances for whale sightings. The Floras Lake Bed and Breakfast is within five minutes of Floras Lake State Park, a recreation area with a campground and rentals for kayaks, windsurf boards. Windsurfing lessons from the Floras Lake Windsurfing company are available at at this park.
