Yes, the Waldorf Astoria is still around. The original Waldorf Astoria was located at 34th Street and Fifth Avenue in New York City and was opened in 1893. In 1931, the hotel was enlarged with the construction of a new tower designed by architect Schultze & Weaver. The original hotel was demolished in 1929 and the new Waldorf Astoria was completed in 1931. The hotel is currently managed by Hilton Hotels & Resorts.
