The White Lake Area of western Michigan is known for its summer and winter recreations, from sailing and rafting, to snowmobiling and ice fishing. The region is known for its lake living, and is home to the city of Whitehall, located along the shores of White Lake. In addition to its recreational attractions, the city of Whitehall hosts numerous festivals, including the White Lake Area Arts and Crafts Festival and the White Lake Maritime Festival.
