Strasburg, PA Area Boutique Hotels

Strasburg, Pennsylvania, is in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. It is common to see Amish horse buggies driving down the city streets.     • The Hershey Chocolate Company has been a staple of the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania community since 1903. In 1989, Hershey opened the Inn at Hershey Farm. The inn is set on a 23-acre farm complete with farm animals. The inn also has its own country store, bakery and restaurant -- featuring the Grand Smorgasbord, a buffet of more than 100 dishes. The inn’s 60 rooms are decorated in country and Amish decor and are available as standard rooms, two-bedroom suites with whirlpool tubs and flat screen televisions and two bedroom family suites in the farmhouse. The inn offers special packages for families and newlyweds.

    Red Caboose Motel

    • The Red Caboose Motel is in Strasburg and features 46 train cars that have been converted to rooms. The available rooms are the couple’s caboose with one double bed, family caboose with two double beds and four bunk beds, caboose suites include two double beds and a queen bed with refrigerator and microwave. The mail-car room options include the suite, Broadway north and south, with two double beds and bunk beds. A honeymoon suite with a hot tub is also available. The onsite restaurant is in a refurbished train car and offers Pennsylvania Dutch dishes. The Red Caboose has an outdoor theater in the summer and a petting zoo.

    The Inn at Leola Village

    • The Inn at Leola Village is a boutique hotel in Lancaster, 20 minutes from downtown Strasburg. This hotel has 63 guestrooms, all individually decorated. Handmade quilts and exposed beams are some of the special features of this hotel. The guestrooms include a cottage room with fireplace and paneled walls, a wine cellar room with exposed brick and fireplace, the Amos King Barn, which was a tobacco barn in the 1800s and is furnished with antiques, floor rugs and the original barn floor. Restaurant Mazzi, onsite, serves Italian cuisine.

    Lancaster Arts Hotel

    • The Lancaster Arts Hotel is 20 minutes from downtown Strasburg. The former brick warehouse offers many one-of-a-kind rooms including the studio, club guestroom, deluxe guestrooms and suites. The suites come in three special styles, the Arts Suite, Loft Suite and the Presidential Suite. The rooms offer large flat screen televisions, Turkish bathrobes, turndown service, free bottled water and furnishings by local artisans. Details include brick walls, exposed beams, high-end paintings and elaborate bedding. The hotel's onsite restaurant, John J. Jeffries, serves local organic foods. Within a two-minute walk is the Fenz Restaurant.
