The Inn is located on Mississippi Drive, Waynesboro's main thoroughfare. The 23-room Lakeview Motel is adjacent to a fishing pond on the southern end of Waynesboro. This small motel offers basic rooms with microwaves, telephones and televisions. Some rooms have refrigerators and all have double beds. Guests can request a non-smoking room but those rooms cannot be guaranteed before arrival. Pets are allowed, but only at the on-duty manager's discretion. The motel is 1/2 mile south of the Waynesboro Village Shopping Center and the Waynesboro General Hospital.

Amenities include cable television, refrigerators and microwaves. Pets are not allowed. As of 2011, rates start at $65 per night for a room with a king bed. Hungry guests can walk across the street to dine at the Western Sizzlin' Steak restaurant, or shop at Wal-Mart, located ¼-mile south of the hotel.
The Waynesboro area is home to seven city and county parks with recreation facilities. Maynor Creek Water Park is six miles west of town, off Highway 84. This park has thick dogwood forest and a 450-acre lake that fished for catfish and used for water skiing. Boat rentals and picnic facilities are available. Nearby, a 9-hole private golf course is open to the public. The Waynesboro Public Library has a wireless Internet cafe and offers a public genealogy research facility featuring free access to subscription-based genealogy websites.
