The Black Duck Inn is the only lodging option that is actually in the town of Corea. A bed and breakfast that overlooks a picturesque harbor, the inn contains four rooms and is set on 12 acres. All rooms are individually decorated, and each guest is given a complimentary gourmet breakfast. The grounds have wild blueberries and cranberries. Guests can hike, explore nearby salt marshes or bird watch on the grounds. The inn is a nonsmoking establishment.
Acadia's Oceanside Meadows Inn is located in Prospect Harbor, 10 minutes from Corea. Gourmet three- or four-course breakfasts are served daily, and each room has a view of the ocean, meadows and gardens. This inn stands on 200 acres of nature preserve and is only five minutes from Acadia National Park and Schoodic. Guests can explore the nearby sandy beaches, play croquet on the lawn, bird watch, or explore four nearby lighthouses. In addition, the grounds have two walking trails designed to let guests immerse themselves in the surrounding environment.
Main Stay Cottages is located in Winter Harbor, 15 minutes from Corea. The inn is composed of several cottages, each with a deck, a picnic area and a charcoal barbecue. The Boathouse is a one-bedroom cottage overlooking the water. The Ledgelawn cottage has a deck overlooking a perennial flower garden and the cove. Little Cranberry is a traditional one-room cottage with a private patio. Captain Lyde's cottage is a four-bedroom home that was remodeled in 2006. Diamond Skies Cottage is a three-bedroom, two-bath home with views of the ocean and the Acadia mountains. The 190 Main Street Cottage is located in the heart of Winter Harbor and has four bedrooms.
Bar Harbor is only a short ferry ride away from the inn. Bunker's Wharf, Chase's Restaurant and Fisherman's Inn are nearby fine-dining restaurants that have specialty seafood menus. Visitors can also rent kayaks from several nearby rental shops or tour companies. Guests who enjoy golf can head to Grindstone Neck Golf Course, a nine-hole course open from May to October.
Elsa's Inn is located in Prospect Harbor, near Acadia National Park and Schoodic. This bed and breakfast has six guestrooms, each named for a family member of the owners. Elsa's room has a whirlpool bath, writing desk and queen bed. Jane's room is upstairs in the main hallway and has a view of the inner harbor. Julie's room overlooks the harbor and backyard gardens. Sarah's room has an adjoining door to Julie's room. It is the largest room in the inn and has a queen bed and a pullout sofa to accommodate families. Elizabeth's room has a private entrance and views of the ocean. Dorothy's room is equipped to handle guests with special needs. All guests can access Wi-Fi from the house. The entire inn is a nonsmoking facility.
Guests can explore local art galleries, lighthouses and pottery shops. More active guests can go birding, kayaking, biking or hiking. The Oceanside Meadows Institute for the Arts & Sciences is nearby, and guests can attend free concerts or lectures on topics such as the Maine lobster fishery.
